Nigerian Aviation Officials Aim to Steady Turbulent Skies

Nigeria's aviation sector is facing turbulence as the country's aviation minister has called on local airlines to avoid ceasing operations or increasing ticket prices.

An April 16 letter to the Airline Operators of Nigeria acknowledged the immense pressure from spiking jet fuel costs on airlines but emphasized the need for restraint to protect the broader economy.

The government is engaging with stakeholders and has arranged a crucial meeting in Abuja on April 22 to discuss sustainable solutions.
