The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) consumes nearly 10.87 lakh litres of diesel daily. Sarnaik discussed fuel-saving goals, incentives for effective drivers, and improved depot practices to promote long-term financial discipline.

He highlighted the need for regular vehicle fuel consumption analysis, with rewards for depots exceeding savings targets. Training will focus on efficient driving practices, with technical issues addressed at the workshop level to reduce fuel wastage.
