Governor Harichandan Ousts IKSV Vice Chancellor Mokshda Chandrakar
Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan has removed Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya's Vice Chancellor, Mokshda Chandrakar, from her position. Chandrakar, a renowned folk singer awarded the Padma Shri in 2016, was appointed as VC in 2020. The Durg division commissioner will assume her responsibilities until further notice.

In a significant move, Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan on Friday removed Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya's Vice Chancellor Mokshda (Mamta) Chandrakar from her post, according to an official statement.
The removal order was issued by Yashwant Kumar, the secretary to the governor. The statement specifies that Chandrakar, a distinguished folk singer awarded the Padma Shri in 2016, was appointed in 2020 during the Congress government led by Bhupesh Baghel.
Until further orders, the Durg division commissioner has been assigned the role of Vice Chancellor of the university. This development marks a notable change in the administration of the esteemed university situated in the Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district.
