NCGG Launches Capacity-Building Programme for Maldivian Civil Servants

The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) on Monday launched a capacity-building programme for 34 Maldivian civil servants, marking the start of the second phase following the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at training 1,000 Maldivian civil servants.
From September 9 to 20, the two-week programme held in Mussoorie is being conducted in collaboration with India's Ministry of External Affairs. According to an official statement, the programme includes participants like assistant directors, senior administrators, and community health officers, representing key ministries and departments from the Maldives.
V Srinivas, Director General of the NCGG, chaired the inaugural session, emphasizing India's governance model and its transformation towards 'Vision 2047'. He highlighted the importance of digitisation for transparency and accountability in governance. Maldivian delegation's team leader, Fathmath Inaya, expressed gratitude for the learning opportunity. The NCGG has successfully trained civil servants from 33 countries, achieving significant milestones.
