Shital Chandrakant Chitte, a 21-year-old student and new mother, exemplified perseverance by attending her Class 12 Maharashtra board exams in Nanded city with her 10-day-old baby. The exams, crucial for her future, saw Chitte prioritize her education despite recent childbirth.
In response to Chitte's situation, People's College set up a 'Matrusneh Kaksha,' a mother-friendly room equipped with a cradle, ensuring she could write her exams while her baby rested. Chitte's dedication was lauded by Nanded's education officer, Madhav Salgar, who pledged future support for similar cases.
The initiative, spearheaded by Maharashtra board's leadership, is believed to be the first in the state and highlights a concerted effort to motivate young parents in education. The exams commenced on February 10, with 861 candidates participating smoothly at the center.
