The event highlights included the winning team from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, whose project focused on early sepsis detection using AI, reflecting the competition's emphasis on practical application and industry collaboration.
Quest Global's esteemed yearly engineering competition, Ingenium, successfully concluded its 14th edition in Bengaluru. Celebrated as a hub for future engineering talent, the competition saw participation from 3,714 teams across 50 colleges in India, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and the engineering industry.
This year's winning team from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology captivated judges with their project, 'Sepsis AI: Edge-Based Early Sepsis Risk Prediction for Resource-Constrained Intensive Care Units.' By leveraging AI, their system efficiently predicts sepsis risks, utilizing existing hospital resources and operating autonomously on local servers.
Ingenium offers a unique platform for young engineers to receive mentorship from industry experts while advancing projects in diverse engineering disciplines such as healthcare, transportation, and automation.
