Kerala's Education Minister V Sivankutty took a stand against the central government on Saturday, pointing to a textbook distribution delay as evidence of neglect. He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene, pressing for timely delivery of educational resources to Kendriya Vidyalayas across the state.
Sivankutty emphasized the serious implications of postponed textbook availability for students in classes 8, 9, and 11, labeling it a 'serious failure' on the part of the authorities. In a Facebook post, he decried the inefficiency of the central government, which he blamed for undermining Kerala's educational progress.
The minister criticized this delay, asserting that it reflects poorly on those blaming Kerala for lack of development, while failing to meet their own educational commitments. He called for urgent corrective measures to ensure equitable access to textbooks, crucial for the academic advancement of the state's students.
