The All India Students' Association (AISA) has accused Delhi University (DU) of conducting a 'systemic witch hunt of student voices' after the university issued a show-cause notice to student activist Anjali. The notice is in connection with a protest on February 13, 2026, which reportedly turned violent.
In the notice, Anjali, who serves as the secretary of DU AISA, has been identified by police as having been involved in disturbances of law and order during the protest. Anjali challenges the accusations, claiming she was victimized during the protest and alleges that threats were made against her, even within a police station.
In a statement, AISA condemned the show-cause notice, defending Anjali and labeling the accusations as 'casteist lies.' The association called for a fair inquiry and urged stringent action against those responsible for the alleged assaults.
