Goyal Advocates Canada-India Dual Degree Programs to Boost Educational Ties

Piyush Goyal has called on Canada to consider implementing dual-degree programs to enhance educational collaborations. Speaking at the University of Toronto, he emphasized the need for a political reset between the two countries and highlighted India's potential as a fast-growing economy.

Piyush Goyal, India's Commerce and Industry Minister, has proposed that Canada adopt dual-degree programs with India to foster educational collaboration. He presented this idea while addressing the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto.

Goyal highlighted that the current global economic and political climate makes it an ideal time to redefine India-Canada relations. He extended an invitation to Canadian students to visit India and witness its developmental initiatives firsthand.

According to Goyal, dual degrees would allow students to study in both countries and obtain qualifications recognized by institutions in both India and Canada. This concept aims to prepare students for future contributions to India's development.

In his speech, Goyal also encouraged investments in India, noting its status as the fastest growing major economy. He articulated a vision for the country's continued economic growth over the next 25 years, emphasizing substantial investments in manufacturing and infrastructure.
