Alan Cumming, celebrated actor and director, has been announced as the host for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards in 2026. The star of 'The Good Wife' will lead the prestigious event, taking place on February 22 at London's Royal Festival Hall, as reported by Deadline.
Cumming, who previously won an Olivier Award for his role in 'Cabaret', is returning to the scene after hosting BAFTA's TV awards last year. He succeeds fellow Scottish actor David Tennant, who held the role for the past two years. Known for his sharp wit and vibrant energy, Cumming expressed excitement about adding a touch of 'mischief' to the proceedings.
In a significant career move, Cumming will also reprise his iconic role of Nightcrawler from 2003's X-Men film series in Marvel's upcoming 'Avengers: Doomsday'.
