In a tragic incident in Ghaziabad, three minor sisters allegedly ended their lives by jumping off a ninth-floor balcony. The police are investigating the influence of an online Korean game, 'love game,' alleged to have ensnared the sisters in a cycle of addiction.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Atul Kumar Singh, the siblings—Nishika, Prachi, and Pakhi—were passionate gamers, particularly during the COVID-19 lockdown. The police suspect their gaming habits were a major factor in this extreme step, and preliminary inquiries have shown their parents opposed their excessive gaming.
The police are meticulously examining the case, involving statements from family members to piece together what led to such a drastic action. The community is in shock, raising red flags about the influence of digital games on the mental health of young individuals.
