The Delhi Development Authority kicked off the annual Palaash Mahotsav flower festival at Baansera, inaugurated by Lt Gov V K Saxena on Saturday. Spanning three days until February 16, it marks a first in being held at four different locations across the city, including Ashoka Garden, Lala Hardayal Park, and Smriti Van.

'Palaash Mahotsav is a celebration of nature, community, and shared environmental responsibility,' Saxena said, praising the DDA for its role in nurturing green spaces that uplift the city's quality of life. Such events bolster environmental consciousness and forge a stronger human-nature bond, he added.

The festival offers thematic floral displays, curated gardens, and interactive sessions, aiming to engage families and individuals of all ages. President Saxena encourages public visitation to foster green initiatives and community participation. The inaugural Palaash Mahotsav was held in 2023, now expanded for wider public interaction.
