The Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) and the Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine are set to launch training programs in Jammu and Kashmir, designed to teach farmers the fundamentals of perfume making.
FFDC Director Shakti Vinay Shukla announced the initiative during a stakeholders' meeting, highlighting the potential for farmers to tap into a booming market with the right skills and quality products. The training aims to equip farmers with the knowledge needed to secure industry orders and elevate product standards.
Plans for the sessions involve short programs at locations like Bhaderwah or Biotech Park, with additional encouragement for farmers to visit FFDC's facility in Kannauj. The stakeholders' meeting also served as a prelude to the Lavender festival 2026, setting the agenda for the next chapter in the Aroma Mission.
