Maharashtra Cyber has taken legal action against stand-up comedians Pranit More, Himanshu Jangra, and Dr. Sejal Pawar, among others, for allegedly disseminating obscene and objectionable content online. An FIR has been registered at the Nodal Cyber Police Station under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act.

The case stems from videos and clips circulated via YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms during a comedy show hosted by Pranit More. Investigations revealed content with offensive remarks about women, issues of consent, and disrespect toward deceased persons, which violate societal norms.

Specifically, one clip features Himanshu Jangra implying entitlement to physical intimacy for money spent on a date, while another shows Dr. Sejal Pawar making derogatory comments about deceased bodies used for educational purposes. The viral content is accused of being monetized for financial gain. Summons have been issued for the involved parties to appear before Maharashtra Cyber for further inquiry. Legal action is anticipated.
