In a candid revelation, actress-singer Jennifer Lopez has named 'Nomadland' as her least favorite type of film, despite its Oscar-winning acclaim. During a conversation on Brett Goldstein's podcast 'Films to Be Buried With,' Lopez clarified her preference for different genres while acknowledging the film's artistic achievements.

Lopez noted that while she recognizes the merit of 'Nomadland,' its themes and pacing do not align with her personal taste. Preferring musicals, romantic comedies, and thrillers, Lopez expressed her respect for Frances McDormand's Oscar-winning performance, crediting her with a deserving portrayal in Chloe Zhao's directorial work.

While Lopez admits to needing escapism in cinema, she is open to genre evolution, as seen in her change of perspective towards horror films like Dave Franco and Alison Brie's 'Together.' Still, Lopez maintains that 'Nomadland,' although critically acclaimed, does not fit her taste. The discussion arose as she promotes 'Office Romance,' a romantic comedy with Brett Goldstein, available on Netflix from June 6.
