Rohini District Court has ordered the Delhi Police to register an FIR and probe into the allegations surrounding the caste certificate issued to Bobi Kinnar, Delhi's first transgender councillor. The complaint, lodged by election rival Varuna Devi, claims that Kinnar used a forged caste certificate to run for office in the reserved women's SC seat in Sulatanpuri ward.

During the court hearing, conflicting reports about the issuance of the caste certificates from Uttar Pradesh were presented. Judicial Magistrate Sanya Dalal noted that the two reports, issued by the Tehsildar office in Dadri, were contrary in nature, prompting the need for an in-depth investigation.

The court's order, dated August 3, instructed the SHO Sulatanpuri to file an FIR and conduct an unbiased investigation. Magistrate Dalal emphasized that the FIR does not imply an immediate arrest but calls for a thorough investigation to determine if any cognizable offense has occurred.
