Following a devastating mudslide in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district, Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary on Thursday implored the public to adhere to traffic advisories when planning their journeys. The top priority for authorities remains the clearance of the highway and the aid of those stranded by the slides.

The public is advised to plan travel according to existing advisories as district teams endeavor to repair and reopen vital routes."
Vehicular movement along the crucial Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was brought to a standstill by the mudslide in Ramban's Chamba Seri region. The Jammu and Kashmir traffic police issued a travel warning, advising commuters against using NH-44 until conditions improve.
