Starbucks Coffee Company, in collaboration with Tata Starbucks, has initiated a Farmer Support Partnership (FSP) to empower 10,000 Indian coffee farmers by 2030. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen India's coffee industry by integrating Starbucks' global agronomy expertise with Tata's local knowledge.
The FSP will establish 'model farms' to embed best practices in agronomy and test sustainable solutions. It aims to elevate coffee quality and productivity while enhancing climate resilience. By creating a robust support system for farmers, the program aspires to drive innovation and sustainability in India's coffee value chain.
In addition to technical support, the FSP will donate one million high-yield Arabica seedlings to farmers over five years. This initiative reinforces Starbucks and Tata's commitment to building a sustainable coffee ecosystem that benefits the entire supply chain from bean to cup.
