A raging fire broke out last night in Bhat Mohalla, Kishangarh, Ajmer, at a three-storey footwear storage facility. Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours before bringing it under control. According to Fire Incharge Ram Prasad Chaudhary, initial investigations suggest a short-circuit as the cause. The fire spread from one floor across the building. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) is closely monitoring the situation, with timely updates being gathered. An impressive deployment of about 13 fire vehicles ensured the blaze was entirely subdued.

Chaudhary pointed out that the godown was illegally situated in a confined residential area, lacking essential fire clearance (NOC) and safety equipment—a serious criminal offense. He urged business owners to refrain from establishing large storage facilities in residential zones and emphasized the importance of fully equipped fire safety measures. A case is set to be filed against the violators as further details emerge.

Simultaneously, a fire was reported at a chemical factory in Makhinga village, Palsana, Surat, Gujarat, on Wednesday. Firefighting units hurried to the location, with efforts to extinguish the blaze still ongoing. The cause remains unknown. Additionally, on Tuesday night, the Periyar area of Madurai saw a tragic fire incident at an LIC office, leading to one fatality. Eyewitness Manikandan recounted how a delay in communication might have cost a life, describing his attempts to help a burn victim and summon emergency services. The Madurai City Police are handling the incident, with details awaited.
