India Resumes Wheat Flour Exports Amid Improved Supplies

The Indian government has announced the authorization of exporting 500,000 metric tons of wheat flour and related products. This marks a significant shift since New Delhi imposed an export ban in May 2022.
The ban was initially set in response to a severe heatwave that slashed wheat output, causing domestic prices to skyrocket.
With supplies now stabilized, India, the world's second-largest wheat producer, is resuming its role in the global wheat market.
