The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has outlined ambitious credit potential for Odisha, estimating it at Rs 3.15 lakh crore under the priority sector for the 2026-27 fiscal year. This reflects a significant increase from last year's Rs 2.52 lakh crore estimation.
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are set to receive the largest allocation, with Rs 1.52 lakh crore, while the agriculture sector is projected at Rs 1.14 lakh crore. The remaining credit will cover areas like housing, education, renewable energy, social infrastructure, and export credit.
