Brazil's Coffee Boom: Record Harvest Expected in 2026
Brazil is set to achieve a record coffee harvest in 2026, with output projected to grow by 17.1% to 66.2 million bags. Arabica production is expected to rise by over 20% while robusta will see a 6.4% increase, as reported by the national crop agency Conab.
Brazil's coffee industry is on track for a record-setting harvest in 2026, as production is expected to surge by 17.1% compared to last year, reaching an unprecedented 66.2 million 60-kilogram bags. This forecast was released by the national crop agency Conab in its latest report.
The projected growth is primarily driven by a significant increase in Arabica coffee output, which is anticipated to expand by more than a fifth to 44.1 million bags. This surge is attributed to the 'on-year' phase of its biennial cycle.
In addition, the production of robusta coffee in Brazil is also expected to rise by 6.4%, totaling 22.1 million bags, further contributing to the overall increase in the country's coffee output.
