Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has called for tribal regions to lead the charge in realizing the vision of a developed Gujarat, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Viksit Bharat @2047 initiative. The Chief Minister emphasized this goal while inaugurating the Tapi-Karjan Link Pipeline Lift Irrigation Scheme, designed to transform 73 tribal villages in Surat and Narmada districts with improved irrigation.

The Rs 651.08 crore scheme is based on the Ukai reservoir project and aims to irrigate 53,750 acres of land. Expansions worth Rs 208.51 crore are set to extend benefits to an additional 19,141 acres. CM Patel, alongside other officials, outlined broader developmental projects during the ceremony, marking a pivotal moment in infrastructure enhancement for the region.

Underlining the broader impact, efforts like the Janjatiya Kalyan Yojana, with an allocation of Rs 35,000 crore annually, aim to accelerate educational and infrastructural advancements in tribal areas. The Chief Minister praised PM Modi's development-oriented approach, emphasizing initiatives that integrate cultural revival and modern growth, furthering opportunities for tribal youth in various professional fields.
