In an overnight offensive, Ukraine targeted the strategic maritime transhipment complex in Novorossiysk, inflicting significant damage. The Russian defence ministry confirmed that a mooring point for the vital Caspian Pipeline Consortium was hit.
The attack also ignited four oil product reservoirs, according to Russian media reports, intensifying the situation at the key port.
Kazakhstan, heavily reliant on this route for its oil exports, assured earlier on Monday that export volumes remain steady despite the assault.
