Three separate fire incidents have been reported from different parts of Gautam Buddh Nagar district, officials said on Tuesday, adding that no one was injured. A fire broke out at around 2 pm on Tuesday in a mandi near Sector 76, where two to three fruit and vegetable shops, along with a pile of garbage and scrap, were engulfed in flames. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and the blaze was brought under control, Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar said. In another incident on Monday night, a fire was reported at Flat No 1603 in Tower 8 of Nirala Estate in the Ecotech-3 area. The blaze, allegedly caused by a lamp (diya) in the prayer area, was controlled by the society's maintenance team using in-house firefighting equipment. The fire department said it had not received prior information about the incident. In a third incident on Tuesday evening, a fire broke out due to a gas leak in an Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) pipeline under the Surajpur police station limits. Firefighters and local police personnel promptly reached the spot and extinguished the flames, though the gas leak was reported to be persisting, and the company has been informed. The officials said no casualties or injuries were reported in any of the three incidents, and the situation at all locations has been brought under control.
