Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray is set to virtually attend the INDIA bloc meeting on Monday, as confirmed by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, signifying the party's unwavering commitment to the alliance. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh announced that representatives from 23 political parties will assemble at the Constitution Club in the national capital.

Amid emerging rifts between Congress and DMK, former steadfast allies within the INDIA bloc, Sanjay Raut stressed Sena (UBT)'s dedication to bolstering the coalition ahead of the 2029 General Elections. Raut stated, "In today's INDIA Bloc meeting in Delhi, Uddhav Thackeray will participate virtually, underscoring our consistent stance that the INDIA Bloc must unite more strongly to tackle the nation's critical challenges and achieve substantial change by 2029."

Since 2019, Congress and Uddhav Thackeray have been allies, contesting elections under the Maha Vikas Aghadi banner in Maharashtra alongside NCP (SCP). Congress leader Srikant Jena informed ANI that the opposition intends to deliberate on pressing issues such as the economic situation and foreign policy during the meeting. Jairam Ramesh highlighted that despite some parties' absence, they continue to oppose the Modi government's policies which undermine democratic rights, destabilize the economy, and compromise national interests.
