In a significant legal development, the Patiala House Court denied bail to Deepak Vats, accused of duping a Haryana-based judicial officer of Rs 52 lakh. The decision, handed down by Additional Sessions Judge Saurabh Pratap Singh Laler, emphasizes the seriousness of the alleged offenses against Vats.

Detailed court directives have ordered the investigation team to secure WhatsApp chats and verify physical meetings between the accused and the victim at 'Drishtti Dreamscapes' in Saket through booking records and CCTV footage. The court also called for examining fund transfers and roles of 'Lakshyatatabux Technologies' and 'Shopperoo Vault Private Limited', along with statements from the judge and her peon on cash deposits.

The investigation initially set in motion by the Delhi Police's IFSO unit follows a complaint from the judge's domestic worker, Diksha Devi, revealing a potential cyber fraud scheme. Prosecutors argue Vats deceived the judge by posing as an official offering high returns on investments, while Vats claims the transactions were voluntary due to their relationship.
