In a heartbreaking series of events, three young children from the Gularhiya Tola village in Nebua Naurangia block succumbed to fever within just 48 hours. Local authorities have responded urgently by sending a team of doctors to the scene, aiming to test other children for possible diseases such as malaria and dengue.
The tragic deaths include Pintu Gaur's seven-year-old daughter, Manju, who passed away after her condition worsened despite medical interventions. Following her, three-year-old Khushi and five-year-old Krishna, relatives of Manju, developed high fevers and sadly did not survive.
The health department has since launched a thorough investigation. Dr. Ranjan Kumar Maurya, leading the local health centre, confirmed that 57 other children have been tested, and preventive measures, including the distribution of medicines and sanitation efforts, are ongoing to curb any potential disease outbreak.
