In a dramatic turn of events, Pakistan's Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar described the recent arrest of former intelligence head Faiz Hameed as a 'miracle' and a cautionary tale for those engaging in political manipulation. Speaking to ARY News, Dar criticized the 2014 sit-ins spearheaded by Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), blaming them for significant economic decline, which saw Pakistan drop from 24th to 47th in global rankings.

'I am amazed by this miracle of Allah,' Dar remarked, noting that such unprecedented actions have occurred. He also revealed personal victimization from General (r) Hameed. Additionally, Dar announced strict measures, including the prohibition of parliamentary delegations traveling abroad, citing a recent incident where five individuals went missing.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed Hameed's arrest on charges including theft from a private housing owner and land grabbing. Court-martial procedures are underway. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, distancing his party from the controversy, termed Hameed's arrest an 'internal military issue.' Khan's legal representative further highlighted a potential need for a judicial commission to probe the arrest.
