In an exclusive interview with ANI, Iranian Ambassador to India, Dr Mohammad Fathali, reiterated Tehran's stance on negotiations with the United States, emphasizing the necessity for the complete removal of what he termed 'illegal sanctions.' Fathali stressed that any successful agreement must yield tangible benefits for the Iranian populace.
Fathali highlighted the Islamic Republic of Iran's expectations for a sustainable and balanced accord, buttressed by credible guarantees. He asserted that the deal should not merely symbolize temporary engagements but must acknowledge Iran's nuclear rights for it to be meaningful and enduring.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, noted the importance of securing a deal with Iran, warning of potential repercussions should negotiations fail. Netanyahu expressed skepticism regarding the discussions, underscoring the necessity of addressing Iran's nuclear ambitions, ballistic missile activities, and regional influence.
