MACHIDA DOWN URAWA TO TOP J-LEAGUE WITH PERFECT RECORD Machida Zelvia cruised to a 3-1 win over Urawa Red Diamonds on Sunday ‌to maintain their perfect start to the J-League season with Go Kuroda's side joined at the summit on nine points by champions Kashima Antlers and Kashiwa Reysol.

Hotaka Nakamura, Takuma Nishimura and Neta Lavi were on target as Machida won for the third league match in a row to move onto nine points. Kashiwa are second ⁠after a ​4-2 win over V-Varen Nagasaki ⁠while striker Leo Ceara scored at both ends in Kashima's 3-2 victory over Avispa Fukuoka.

THRASHING OF ANYANG SEES SEOUL EXTEND K-LEAGUE LEAD FC Seoul handed Anyang FC a ⁠7-0 thrashing on Saturday to increase their lead in the K-League to 13 points over second-placed Ulsan HD, who lost 1-0 to champions Jeonbuk Motors.

Moon ​Seon-min scored twice for the league leaders against Anyang with Hrvoje Babec, Patryk Klimala, Anderson Oliveira, Jeong Seung-won and Lee ⁠Seung-mo also on target. CHENGDU SEE LEAD TRIMMED AFTER LOSS IN NINE-GOAL CLASH Chinese Super League leaders Chengdu Rongcheng were on the wrong side of a nine-goal thriller on Saturday as John Aloisi's side lost 5-4 to Shanghai Shenhua to have their advantage at the ⁠top trimmed to 12 points from Beijing Guoan.
