Ukraine hit 12 large Russian oil refineries in August, Kyiv says

​Ukraine hit ‌12 large ​Russian oil refineries ‌in August, the Ukrainian defence ministry said ‌on Wednesday.

Its statement said that ‌the Ukrainian military also struck two gas ⁠processing ​and ⁠chemicals plants, three oil ⁠terminals and depots, and ​two weapons production facilities ⁠last month. The Ukrainian ⁠strikes ​hit as far as 1,900 ⁠kilometres (1,180 miles) from the border, ⁠the ⁠ministry said.
