US official says three credit reporting agencies have been overcharging for too long

​U.S. Director ‌of Federal Housing ​Bill Pulte said ‌on Thursday credit reporting agencies Equifax, Experian and ‌TransUnion have been overcharging ‌Americans for a long period of time.

"Equifax, ⁠Experian, ​and ⁠TransUnion have been overcharging Americans ⁠for far too ​long. This will end ⁠soon. We are seriously considering ⁠bi-merge, ​and stronger solutions (SAFER and SOUNDER)," he ⁠wrote in a post ⁠on ⁠X.
