North Korea says it conducted intermediate-range strategic missile launch drill

​North Korea ‌said it ​conducted an intermediate-range ‌strategic missile launch drill on Saturday, with leader ‌Kim Jong Un overseeing ‌the exercise, state media KCNA reported on ⁠Sunday.

KCNA ​said ⁠the missile hit a ⁠target 1,000 km (621 ​miles) away in the East ⁠Sea and that ⁠the ​drill was aimed at testing ⁠and training forces operating a ⁠hypersonic ⁠strategic weapon system.
