Student, 15, has hand blown off during French school protests, local press reports
A fifteen-year-old student protesting France's dilapidated and understaffed schools had his hand blown off on Monday in the northern town of Lens after he picked up a police stun grenade, the local prefect François-Xavier Lauch told reporters.
La Voix du Nord reported that Lauch said an investigation into the incident had been opened.
