Romanian PM-designate Niculescu wins confidence vote, Digi 24 reports

Romania's Prime ‌Minister Luca Niculescu won a parliamentary ‌vote of confidence on Tuesday, private broadcaster Digi 24 reported ‌citing sources, installing a ‌potentially short-lived cabinet of leftists and technocrats to ease pressure on the country's investment grade rating and restore investor confidence.

Niculescu, 55, a diplomat, former journalist and deputy foreign minister, is centrist President Nicusor Dan's fourth attempt to install a government since a pro-European broad coalition cabinet collapsed in early ‌May.
