Trump administration aims for regulated market for peptides, US health chief says

US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said ‌in a Fox News interview on Tuesday that ‌the Trump administration aims to expand access to peptides by creating a regulated marketplace for ‌the drugs, which are built from short ‌chains of amino acids. "Americans are going to be buying these anyway. Our objective was to make sure that there is a regulated marketplace, so that what they're getting is what they claim to be, that is safe, that the factories are inspected," Kennedy said in an interview on Fox News' "The Will Cain Show."

Kennedy's comments were in response to a question about a new proposal sent by the Department of Health and Human Services to the White House about peptides.
