U.S. State Department approves potential $1 billion sale of helicopters to Norway -Pentagon

WASHINGTON, April 26 - The U.S. State Department has approved the potential sale of six MH-60R multi-mission helicopters and related equipment to Norway in a deal valued at about $1 billion, the Pentagon said on Wednesday.

The Pentagon also said the State Department has approved the possible sale to Norway of sustainment and services for C-130J aircraft for an estimated cost of $166 million.

The principal contractor for both sales is Lockheed Martin Corp. (Eric Beech; Doina Chiacu)
