Major General VT Mathew is an alumnus of Sainik School Kazakkotam, National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla, and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Commissioned into the 11 MADRAS Regiment in December 1988, he brings 35 years of distinguished service to his new appointment.
Mathew's extensive career includes key instructional, staff, and UN peacekeeping roles. Notably, he served as a Military Observer in the Democratic Republic of Congo and as Chief Operational Officer at Force HQ UNISFA in Sudan.
