A man was arrested for allegedly sharing a controversial post on social media, expressing affection for Pakistan, an official confirmed on Monday.
The accused, identified as Tabrez Alam from Shikarpur Chaudhary Gautia, caught attention after posting on Facebook. The post, said to undermine India's unity, was flagged by a nationalist group, "Akhand Bharat Sankalp Nath Nagari 25," which demanded severe consequences.
Station House Officer Vijendra Singh stated that an FIR was filed under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, citing actions against national integrity. In addition, Tabrez faces previous allegations of abducting a Hindu girl, with ongoing efforts by police to locate her.
