A 22-year-old man in Sonbhadra district has been arrested after posting a video on Instagram, deemed offensive to Lord Ram. The police took swift action following a complaint, citing potential threats to communal harmony.
Circle Officer Harsh Pandey highlighted the seriousness of the situation, stating the post could have disrupted public peace. As a preventive measure, legal charges have been filed against Suraj Jatav.
The charges include violations of sections promoting enmity between groups and malicious acts against religious beliefs, as well as provisions of the Information Technology Act. Jatav remains in custody as further legal proceedings continue.
