Section Forest Officer K K Ratheesh Kumar was suspended by Chief Conservator of Forests Anjan Kumar. The decision was based on a report from the local range officer.
The incident, occurring on September 1 at Sugandhagiri section forest office, has incited protests, with the Youth Congress demanding prompt action against the suspended officer.
