Two individuals have been taken into custody after allegedly robbing a construction company's office in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, according to police reports released on Tuesday.
Ajit Behra, a 28-year-old welder who had been working with the company for a mere three months, was among those arrested. During interrogation, he confessed to the police that he became aware of large cash amounts delivered to the office monthly for labor payments, leading him to mastermind the robbery.
Behra allegedly executed a robbery of Rs 10 lakh from the office in the Birsanagar police station area on November 10, aided by his associates Ajay Singh alias Mota, Suraj Karwa, and Babu Sardar alias Nepu. Following his confession, police arrested Sardar in the Parsudih police station area's Loco Colony. The stolen cash was reportedly divided among the robbers, with Rs 1.15 lakh each. Authorities have recovered Rs 1.23 lakh, a country-made pistol, and two live cartridges, with further raids underway to apprehend remaining suspects.
