Blaze Erupts at Illegal Chemical Godown in Palghar District

A significant fire incident took place at an unauthorized chemical storage facility on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Haloli village located in Palghar district. The blaze ignited on a Sunday afternoon, posing potential danger but, fortunately, resulted in no injuries, as reported by officials on the scene.
According to Vivekanand Kadam, the District Disaster Management officer, the fire was restricted to an open space area, mitigating further risk to surrounding structures and people. The flames, which started around 4:30 PM, were effectively controlled and extinguished within 45 minutes.
Currently, cooling operations are being conducted to ensure that the situation remains stable and under control. Officials continue to monitor the area closely to prevent any potential rekindling of the fire.
