In a significant breakthrough, the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Punjab police jointly apprehended a man wanted in connection with a murder in Amritsar. The suspect, Lavpreet Singh, was located in Gujarat's Jamnagar, an effort highlighting the effective coordination between the states' law enforcement agencies.
Lavpreet Singh, accused of the murder of Makhan Singh at a bus stand along with others, had been evading capture until now. The Amritsar police previously arrested four other individuals connected to the crime. This collective effort unraveled Singh's involvement, prompting shared intelligence between the Punjab police and Gujarat ATS.
The investigation led authorities to Meghpar in Jamnagar district, where Singh was discovered working as a daily laborer. After his capture, Singh admitted during questioning to participating in the conspiracy to murder Makhan Singh, confirming his role in the criminal act.
