Punjab Police Busts Pakistan-Linked Arms Smuggling Ring
The Punjab Police have successfully uncovered a cross-border arms smuggling module linked to Pakistan. Two individuals were arrested, and seven weapons were recovered. The arrests were based on intelligence suggesting the accused were directed by a Pakistan-based handler using WhatsApp for communication.

The Punjab Police announced on Monday the successful bust of a cross-border arms smuggling module linked to Pakistan, resulting in the arrest of two individuals.
Authorities recovered seven sophisticated weapons, including three PX5 pistols and four .30 bore pistols, from the suspects, highlighting a significant breakthrough in their investigations.
According to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, the intelligence-led operation revealed that the suspects were acting on the orders of a handler based in Pakistan, who used WhatsApp to coordinate pickup points for the illegal arms.
