A Pakistan anti-terror court has dismissed a petition by Aleema Khan, sister of former premier Imran Khan, seeking to dismiss terrorism charges. The charges stem from her alleged involvement in a November 2024 protest organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder.

The charges in the case include illegal protest, anti-government slogans, vandalism, and stone-pelting, all filed at the Sadiqabad police station in Rawalpindi. Despite efforts to seek relief from the charges, Justice Amjad Ali Shah upheld the application of Section 7 under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

This decision has garnered controversy as Aleema previously missed multiple court appearances, only attending after property seizure and arrest warrants were issued against her. The case will proceed with another hearing slated for December 4, with government witnesses summoned.
