Massive Security Overhaul in Nagpur for Maharashtra Legislature's Winter Session

An extensive security plan involving over 8000 police personnel is set for the Winter session of the Maharashtra legislature in Nagpur. This includes city officials, State Reserve Police Force companies, and an anti-terror team. Enhanced surveillance measures and coordinated supervision are in place to ensure safety.

The Maharashtra legislature's Winter session in Nagpur will see a massive security presence, with more than 8000 police personnel deployed, as confirmed by officials.

Out of these, 5000 officers are from the city itself, while 3000 have been called in from other districts across the state. Their efforts will be bolstered by five State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) companies.

Key officials have been tasked with specific responsibilities, such as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Branch) Shashikant Satav supervising overall security, and DCP (Headquarters) Deepak Agarwal handling logistics. Enhanced CCTV surveillance and joint patrolling of sensitive areas aim to maintain order, complemented by modern equipment for security checks.
