Munu Mahawar, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, arrived in Nepal on Sunday. He will engage in high-level discussions to review the country's election preparations and assess India-funded development projects.

During his four-day visit, Mahawar is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sushila Karki and other prominent ministers, including Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal on Tuesday, reflecting India's commitment to strengthening Nepal's democratic process.

Apart from political meetings, Mahawar will also visit Lumbini to attend an official event and inspect the integrated check post in Bhairahawa, built with India's assistance, underlining the depth of India-Nepal cooperation amidst shifting political landscapes.
