Pradeep Ambedkariya, a man allegedly involved in several criminal activities, has been detained under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. Authorities describe him as a 'habitual criminal' with multiple FIRs against him for offenses such as disturbing public order and inciting religious disharmony.
Ambedkariya is accused of making provocative speeches, wrongful restraint, rioting, intimidation, and public nuisance, according to police reports. He had been on the run after reportedly posting derogatory remarks against Hindu deities on social media, which allegedly offended religious sentiments.
A police dossier was prepared and submitted to the district magistrate of Kathua, leading to the issuance of a detention warrant under PSA. He is currently lodged in Udhampur district jail, marking a significant effort in curbing his illegal activities.
